KUANTAN: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi leads the list of 915 recipients of titles and awards to be conferred by Sultan Ahmad Shah Sultan Abu Bakar in conjunction with the ruler’s 76th birthday today.


Abdullah will be bestowed the Darjah Kerabat Seri Indera Mahkota Pahang Yang Amat Dihormati (DK).


The investiture ceremony will be held this Saturday at Istana Abu Bakar in Pekan.

Home Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Radzi Sheikh Ahmad, Tourism Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor and Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Sidek Hassan are among 17 people who will be awarded the Sri Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (SSAP), which carries the title Datuk Seri.


The others are Cik Puan Muda Pahang Cik Julita Aishah Abdul Latif, Deputy Agriculture and Agro-based Industries Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shariff Omar, Chief Judge of Sabah and Sarawak Datuk Richard Malanjum, Public Works Department director-general Datuk Wahid Omar, Customs director-general Datuk Abdul Rahman Abdul Hamid, Foreign Affairs Ministry secretary-general Datuk Rastam Mohd Isa, Royal Malaysian Air Force deputy commander Lef-Jen Datuk Azizan Ariffin, Tenaga Nasional Bhd president and CEO Datuk Che Khalib Mohd Noh, Celcom Malaysia Bhd CEO Datuk Mohammed Shazalli Ramly, Affin Bank Bhd CEO Datuk Abdul Hamidy Abdul Hafiz, Ahmad Zaki Resources Bhd deputy executive director Datuk Wan Zaki Wan Muda, Datuk Andrew Kam, Datuk Lim Ah Chap and Datuk Abdullah Hishan Mohd Hashim.

Six people will be awarded the Seri Indera Mahkota Pahang (SIMP) which carries the title Datuk.


They include Entrepreneurial and Co-operative Development Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, State Assembly Speaker Datuk Wan Mohd Razali Wan Mahussin, Judicial Commissioner Datuk Abdul Halim Aman, Bukit Aman Internal Security and Public Order director Comm Datuk Mustafa Abdullah and Bukit Aman Commercial Crimes Department director Comm Datuk Ramli Yusuff.


State Secretary Datuk Wan Abdullah Wan Salleh and State Financial Officer Datuk Sharifah Fatimah Syed Omar are among 18 people who will receive the Darjah Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (DSAP) that also carries the title Datuk.


The others include Pahang police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Abdul Razak Bokhari, Customs deputy director-general (prevention) Datuk Mohd Khalid Yusuf, Immigration Department director-general Wahid Md Don and Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors Sdn Bhd MD Datuk Yeoh Choon San.


Assemblymen Md Hamdan Sudin (Kuala Semantan) and Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail (Jelai), and Lipis MP Mohamad Shahrum Osman are among 79 people getting the Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP) that carries the title Datuk.


Other recipients include Pahang deputy police chief SAC (I) Mohd Mokhtar Shariff, Selangor deputy police chief Ibrahim Manas, Human Resources Ministry secretary-general Thomas George, popular singer Siti Nurhaliza Tarudin, CIMB Group Sdn Bhd executive director Cheim Dau Meng, AmMerchant Bank Bhd director N.S. Menon Gopikrishnan, Bumiputra-Commerce Holdings Bhd executive director Mohd Shukri Hussin and fashion designer Bernard Chandran. Ten people will be conferred the Setia Ahmad Shah Pahang (SAP), 54 the Setia Mahkota Pahang (SMP) and 45 the Ahli Ahmad Shah Pahang (AAP).


Bernama Pahang bureau chief Mohd Shukri Ishak and Berita Harian reporter Rosli Abdul Jalil are among 146 recipients of the Ahli Mahkota Pahang (AMP).


Two journalists – Harian Metro’s Asrol Awang and RTM’s Abdul Hadi Mohamad – will receive the Pingat Khidmat Cemerlang (PKC) along with 112 others, while 101 people will get the Pingat Kelakuan Terpuji (PKT), and 323 the Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (PJK).


Konstable Mahadir Tawile, who was killed during police operations in Temerloh this year, will be awarded the Pingat Gagah Perwira (PGP).
